Files

Files can be stored on the wiki as attachments.  All files are scanned for viruses before being stored on a wiki.  If a virus is found, you will see an error message and description of the virus found.  There is a file size limit for attachments of 5 MB per file.

Browsers

The following browsers are recommended for use with the Wiki Service

• Firefox 1.5 or greater
• Internet Explorer 5.5 or greater

Using other browsers may cause problems using some of the features of the Wiki Service, such as the rich text editor which does not appear as an option in Safari.

Using Wikis in Education - The vendor of this wiki engine has provided a PDF of the e-book "Using Wiki in Education".  This book is a collection of case studies on using wikis for pedagogical purposes.  The e-book was originally published on http://www.wikiineducation.com/ , and a related blog is at http://www.ikiw.org/.

Examples- In addition to the basic text editing you can do in a wiki, there are a number of other features you can integrate with your wiki.  The Examples page shows some of these and how to add them to your wiki.
