 Marketing and Media Intern, University of Iowa Museum of Art and the University of Iowa Pentacrest Museums

 The University of Iowa Museum of Art and the University of Iowa Pentacrest Museums are seeking a motivated, detail- and deadline-oriented individual to fill a newly created Marketing and Media internship. Responsibilities will be wide-ranging and include: writing press releases, developing advertising campaigns, website maintenance, new media communication (blog, Facebook), and some writing and editing for the museums' various print publications. This is the perfect job for a student interested in gaining very real, on-the-job experience to build his or her resume. Writing skill and ability to think creatively are absolutely necessary. Preference will be given to those with a background in journalism, public relations, museums, and/or the arts who intend to pursue a career in those areas, but all qualified candidates are encouraged to apply. Experience with Dreamweaver and Adobe Contribute is also beneficial, but not a requirement.
 This is a paid position at $7.50 per hour. The intern will work closely with the museums' Marketing and Media Manager and set a schedule of up to 20 hours a week between the hours of 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
