How far in advance should I request course software on CSS-administered computers?
Generally it takes about four months for a new product to be installed and tested. An upgraded product may be installed between semesters, and new toolboxes may only need a month to purchase and install. Course software that is new or changed should be discussed in the departmental and the request should be sent to CSS by way of the DEO. Budgetary and compatibility issues will then need to be addressed. Course committee should also be notified, if applicable.
