Description

Allows University employees to self-enroll in ICON-hosted training courses via the Employee Self-Service application.

UI Learning and Development already allows employees to enroll in training courses via the self-service app; the app is being extended to interoperate with ICON.

Upon enrollment in a professional development course listed in the self-service app, a user will be automatically enrolled in a corresponding ICON course site. The user can then click a link to jump directly from self-service to the home page of the ICON course, without being prompted for another HawkID login. The self-service app retrieves grade results directly from ICON on a nightly basis, in order to maintain records of courses completed by each user.

Single Sign-On from HRIS to ICON uses the login tools app maintained by ITS-Administrative Information Systems.

Updated 2008 to improve grade retrieval processing.
