Description

University of Iowa Libraries staff have long provided course reserve materials online. Recently, select staff have been trained in ICON.

Instructors have been given a tool (in the instructor tools widget on each course homepage) to grant course access to the reserve staff of a particular branch library with only two mouse clicks. Once they are granted access, UI Libraries staff can post reserve materials directly to the ICON course content page. Usually, the librarians put the files in the file manager and let the instructor build the links on the content page.
