Note to Nathan: we are having some problems (as identified on Friday) with the numbering. Changes made often result in unanticipated re-numbering that repeats '2' without advancing to '3' and '4' and so on. Harry

The problem with the auto numbering is if you enter blank lines between items, the auto number assumes you want to restart the numbering after the break.
My guess is that this a problem introduced by editing in Rich Text.

The way to solve this is to tell the Wiki Markup Editor that your are creating intentional, non-breaking, blank lines.
Go into the Wiki Markup editor on an page you are getting this error and put 2 backslashes (
      ) in every blank line.

See my recent edit of http://wiki.uiowa.edu/x/ABCCAQ

Backslash is \ . Not to be confused with the slash, stroke, or forward slash, /, that appears after http://

      Best,
      Leighton
