Avery Brooks

The University of Iowa Ida Cordelia Beam Distinguished Visiting Professorship Program welcomes Avery Brooks, acclaimed actor, singer, musician, director and educator to The University of Iowa Department of Theatre Arts where he will present “The Time of Your Life,” a musical performance and conversation on the arts. Mr. Brooks is known for such films as Star Trek: Legacy and American History X and the TV series Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, Spenser: For Hire and A Man Called Hawk.
