Steamroller printing has been received with great enthusiasm in communities across the country. As a way to bring people together and have fun making art, Broken City Lab says, "OK AWESOME. Talk about bringing the arts to the people." This type of activity, happening for the first time in Coralville, is a fun and unique way for communities affected by the flood to celebrate the arts while creating a lasting commemorative print that can be visited and enjoyed for years to come. At the San Francisco Center for the Book, artists greet an annual steamroller printing street fair with "Steamroller! Printing! Together at last!" For local artists, this is a chance for them to show off their printmaking skills while being involved with the community. "In the past, we've had to go to Madison or Kansas City for steamroller printing events," according to Iowa City artist Jessica White, "so it's really exciting that it's finally coming to Iowa City."
