What does this resource offer teachers and students?

Distance education offers a new kind of opportunity for both teachers and students. This sort of learning provides teachers another way of teaching. Using online resources can allow them to teach his/her students with a more hands on and visible approach. The teacher could show his/her students ways to do research, look at videos, articles and stories through the internet that one may not necessarily be able to do through classroom based learning. The teacher could also use this resource to use an indirect approach. When teaching certain topics or concepts, the teacher could instruct the students to discover their own understanding of the subject.

Distance education presents to students another option to further their learning. Students can take additional classes they want or need to take in order to continue or even start their education. It allows for students to learn managing his/her own time through staying on track and completing all assignments. This resource permits students to learn at his/her own pace without anyone pressuring them to complete an assignment in a certain amount of time.
