The Program of Study (POS) is the MAUI version of the legacy major, minor, certificate, or other type of academic program. Every student will have at least one POS. A POS is linked to an Academic Organization and contains the following required elements: Program, Objective, Program College, Curricular college, Level, and Declaration Type. Optional elements include a Subprogram. It is this combination of elements that creates a student's POS. The MAUI POS module was designed to eliminate cryptic coding and present information about a student's academic endeavors in a concise format.

This panel also provides access to the lookup tables (See Lookup Table Maintenance list) used in the Program of Study module. These tables are maintained by the Office of the Registrar and contain the valid values for various POS fields.
