A: In general, macros are small tools or widgets that facilitate content creation or editing of a wiki page. Examples include a Table of Contents, Search box, RSS Feed display, or a particular formatting. They can create anchors, tables, or columns. When editing a page, if you see something contained in curly brackets {} within a box, that is a macro. An example of using the section and column macros can be seen below:

While some macros require a start and close tag, like above, others are a one-time macro, such as:
