Summer Partnership in the Arts 2020

The Summer Partnership dates are May 18 thru June 12

Performances June 11, 12, & 13

Must be a Theatre Arts Major or Theatre Arts Graduate Student—students who graduate in May of 2020 are eligible to participate 

(Acting I is no longer a requirement) 

Rehearsal schedule will be Monday thru Friday during the day.

There will be some occasional weekend and evening rehearsals during the final week of the residency.

There is a maximum of 36 hours of rehearsal each week

Students will be paid a stipend of $1200


Auditions will be held on Monday, March 23, From 5:30 pm-7:30 pm. an online submission (more information coming soon) 

Callbacks will be Monday, March 23rd from 8:00 pm - 10:00 pm.set up as Zoom Appointments (more information coming soon)

This is a new work, currently under development by Nambi E. Kelley

The project will be directed by Daniel Carlton.

Nambi E. Kelley is an award-winning actress and playwright working regionally, internationally, and on television. She is the winner of the Prince Prize 2019 and the Dramatist Guild Foundation Writers Alliance Grant, and she was a finalist for the Primus Prize in 2015 and 2019. Her adaptation of Native Son has enjoyed productions across the country and received its NYC premiere at The Duke on 42nd Street through The Acting Company.

Daniel Carlton  is an actor , storyteller,  playwright, poet , director, and award winning  teaching artist  who has appeared on New York, national, and international stages. His work has also been presented in schools, jails, homeless shelters,  libraries , and every imaginable place to perform.
