FOUR WRITING CONTESTS NOW OPEN FOR SUBMISSIONS

Our writing contests for emerging writers are now open and awaiting your submissions! The TWNOLF believes in supporting emerging writers all year long, which is why we host four annual creative writing contests.

Deadlines are in October, and each contest comes with a cash prize, publication, and a public reading at the 2021 Festival. Complete submission guidelines can be found on our website.

The Fiction Contest is sponsored by Kindle Direct Publishing and judged by Minrose Gwin, author of The Accidentals. Learn more about Minrose here. 

Grand Prize: 

  • $1,500
  • Domestic airfare (up to $500) and French Quarter accomodations to attend the 2021 Festival in New Orleans
  • VIP Festival pass ($600 value)
