Q: What is a Macro?

A: In general, macros are small tools or widgets that facilitate content creation or editing of a wiki page. Examples include a Table of Contents, Search box, RSS Feed display, or a particular formatting. They can create anchors, tables, or columns. When editing a page, if you see something contained within a box, that is a macro. An example of using the section and column macros can be seen below:

While some macros can hold content (such as the section macro above), others are self-contained (such as the Livesearch macro).
