The New Play Festival is back and fully in-person after a two-year hiatus and we are thrilled to announce that audition sign ups are open!

Auditions will be held in MacVey Theater:
Saturday, March 5th from 10:30am-2:00pm
Sunday, March 6th from 10:30am-12:30pm

The check in table for NPF auditions will be in the front lobby of the theatre building. Before you arrive, please fill out a Performer Bank profile online at https://performerbank.weebly.com/. If you are having trouble accessing performer bank or logging into the wiki sign up, please email Dylan Nicole Martin, Festival PSM, at dnmartin@uiowa.edu.

Once you have checked in, the stage management team will distribute sides for you to audition with. There is no need to prepare a monologue. Every 30 minute time slot has 14 spots for actors. Each actor will likely read 1-3 sides (ranging in length of 1-2 pages) during their half-hour time slot.

Reading Series: The Reading Series is comprised of 6 Readings that will be performed during Festival Week. Actors may be cast in no more than two readings and if cast in a Production/Workshop, they cannot be in a reading as well.

Callback lists will be posted by Sunday, March 6th by 6pm. Casting will be announced Friday, March 11th in the afternoon.
