The digital divide refers to the gap between people who have access to digital technology, like computers, cell phones and the internet, and those who do not.  The term first gained mainstream attention in the mid-1990’s and the divide, like technology, is constantly changing and evolving both locally and globally.

  1. I think maybe you could elaborate here! This is a topic many teachers deal with- especially when they teach in schools without resources and in schools with a demographic that has a lower socioeconomic status.
